We use Student Registers to record receipt of various consent forms. Once a form has been received, the student is marked as On Register. I can search in Student Registers for those whose forms are still outstanding by clicking on Unassociated. But I need teachers to be able to do this as well, and the easiest option would be if Unassociated was available as an option to search, alongside On and Off Register.
(I had a silly exercise at the beginning of the year with one of our registers where I marked everyone On Register and then Marked them Off Register, just so that others could search for them later, but once there are pupils legitimately On Register, that's something you would have to do one pupil at a time.)
